Corporate Social Responsibility

We are acutely aware of our role as brand custodian to our clients which drives our passion for ethical principles and practices.

We are committed to providing manufacturing quality assurances which fully comply with our own and our customer’s standards and we look to continually improve in this area. We will always be prepared to stand up and address the issues which global textile production challenges us with on a daily basis.

We recognise that overseas sourcing of fabric and garments will lead to substantial benefits to our clients, but we are also extremely conscious of the potential social impacts offshore supply can have. For this reason, we regularly monitor and audit our supply partners through rigorous programmes, and our senior team undertake regular site visits. As well as our audit programmes, our suppliers are independently audited and furthermore, we regularly partner with our clients on any reasonable audits they wish to undertake at our sites.

Modern Slavery Statement

We recognize that the health and welfare of all employees, external stakeholders, suppliers, and the wider community is of paramount importance in the successful conduct of our business. Our statement has been written and published in accordance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015. It details our approach and strategy to ensure we implement the right policies and take robust corrective action when required.

CSR Policy Statement

The main products supplied are clothing, footwear, PPE, and associated accessories.

The Board of Directors recognizes that the health, safety, and welfare of employees, visitors, contractors, external stakeholders, and the wider community, who may be affected by its operations is of primary importance in the successful conduct of its business. It also recognizes its obligations to care for the environment through the prevention of pollution and the implementation and monitoring of good environmental practices.

The company strives to maintain best-practice seeking continuous improvement and innovation through the implementation of our accredited BS EN ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, alongside our current certification to BS EN ISO 9001 Quality Management System.

This policy is signed by the Executive Chairman to demonstrate the Board’s commitment to it. This policy has been adopted by the Board of Directors for all sites and a copy is posted at each location.

SEDEX

Mi Hub joined the Supplier Ethical Data Exchange (SEDEX) in 2008 and continually monitor our supply chain and submit relevant information through the SEDEX database. SEDEX is a membership organization for businesses committed to the continuous improvement of the ethical performance of their supply chains.

It aims to provide a secure database for companies to store and share ethical data including self-assessment, audit reports, and corrective action reports and status. Our membership in these organizations is always represented at the director level within Dimensions. This is essential as the core aspects of these associations are delivered to all levels of our business starting at the board level.

Learning and developing is an essential part of membership in trade associations. By being an active member we ensure that we share best practice and learn from other members. This allows us to ensure our clients are receiving the best possible practices and services within the UK.

Membership of quality standard organizations as well as testing facilities help Mi Hub produce the industry’s best value garments that will exceed our client’s expectations

eTHICAL tRADING iNITIATIVE

Mi Hub is committed to providing manufacturing quality assurances which fully comply with your standards. Whilst recognizing the fact that overseas sourcing of fabric or garments will lead to substantial cost benefits, we are also aware of the potential social impact that offshore supply can have.

As a member of the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) since 2007, Mi Hub has adopted the internationally recognized ETI Base Code of labor practice (as listed below). We are committed to supporting our suppliers as they implement this code of practice and create a fair and safe working environment for all employees. We are constantly striving to improve working conditions and uphold human rights in an environmentally friendly workplace.

ETI Base Code:

Please view the full base code on the ETI website.

Employment is freely chosen

Freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining are respected

Working conditions are safe and hygienic

Child labor shall not be used

Living wages are paid

Working hours are not excessive

No discrimination is practiced

Regular employment is provided

No harsh or inhumane treatment is allowed

Mi Hub takes all reasonable and practical steps, including factory visits by the company’s staff, representatives or agents, to check that required standards are being met, and be alert to any signs which may indicate that a production process may involve exploitation or represent a danger to health, safety, or to the environment.

As part of our membership, we actively participate in different ETI programs, events, seminars, and working groups. These events allow us to collaborate with other ETI members and we can then transfer this information throughout our business and its practices.

It is very important to Mi Hub that our workforce is aware of our ETI membership and what it stands for. Members of our purchasing department have attended ETI meetings to provide them with a fundamental understanding of how their purchasing practices can have an impact on ethical trade. Our purchasers are in direct contact with our suppliers so it is of utmost importance that they are fully educated in this area. Members of our account management team and board of directors have also attended ETI meetings to increase their understanding.

Custodians of our ethical trade and CSR operations have also presented at ETI meetings for small and medium companies to explain to members our relationship with our suppliers, what issues we face, and how we have developed our supply chain. We intend to keep supporting the initiative and learning from the ETI and their other members.

Please find our membership listed on the ETI website (we are listed under Mi Hub Limited)
